Michael joined Resurgens in 2022 as Executive in Residence focusing on the firm’s investment opportunities in the Travel, Transportation & Hospitality sectors. Michael brings more than 23 years of senior executive leadership experience generating successful results for shareholders and investors running data, software, technology and information services businesses.

Michael formerly led the growth of Forbes Travel Guide, the world’s most exclusive five-star ratings service, where he was responsible for repositioning the business model to sell service quality data, benchmarking analytics and training solutions to hotels, restaurants and spas in the global upscale and luxury hospitality markets. Prior to Forbes Travel Guide, Michael served as the General Manager of Mobil Travel Guide. Michael also served as President and CEO of AirSage where he oversaw the development and launch of its SaaS platform providing population movement analytics to the travel & tourism, hospitality, transportation and out-of-home media markets among others.  During his career, Michael also served as COO of HowStuffWorks, helping to lead its sale to Discovery Communications for $250 million, where he then served as COO of Discovery Communications Digital Media. Michael began his career in investment banking at Robinson-Humphrey.
