Resurgens Technology Partners (“Resurgens”), a software-focused private equity firm, announced today that it has completed an investment in MCIM by Fulcrum Collaborations (“MCIM” or the “Company”), a leading provider of end-to-end maintenance, operations, and facility management software for mission-critical facilities. MCIM serves customers in an array of industries including financial services, data center colocation, telecom, technology, manufacturing, and healthcare.
MCIM was founded in 2010 by Michael Dongieux to create a cloud computing solution to centralize, standardize, and automate the management of the critical facilities for global Fortune 100 financial institutions. The MCIM solution has since become a comprehensive platform with a suite of best-in-class products including enterprise asset management (EAM), computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), and asset performance management (APM) functionality. Today, MCIM is used by Fortune 100 and 500 companies in over 60 countries across six continents to streamline and automate workflow. It provides customers with the embedded analytics and AI necessary to make better facility operations decisions.
The investment from Resurgens will enable MCIM to accelerate the development of additional products and capabilities, expand into new industry verticals, attract new talent, and implement enterprise-grade processes and systems. Resurgens will leverage its team of seasoned and highly experienced operating executives to help MCIM scale its business and successfully execute its long-term strategy. Michael Dongieux will remain in place as CEO as part of the investment. Wayne Williams, an industry veteran and Operating Partner with Resurgens, will also join MCIM’s Board as Executive Chairman.
“As we continue to scale our business and look to partner with global companies and leaders across a broad array of industry verticals, our leadership team saw Resurgens’ experience as the right match for MCIM’s long-term goals,” said MCIM CEO Michael Dongieux. “We are united behind the opportunity we can pursue together and Wayne’s experience founding, leading, and scaling technology companies will serve as a driving force for our expansion.”
“MCIM’s platform and suite of solutions have proven to help overcome the challenges that Fortune 100 and 500 companies are facing in today’s rapidly evolving business environment and we are pleased to have the opportunity to partner with Michael and his team as they embark on this next chapter of their growth,” said Resurgens Managing Director Fred Sturgis.
MCIM represents Resurgens Fund II’s fifth investment and Resurgens’ third investment in property technology following its investments in OfficeSpace and EnergyCAP.
