Stephen graduated with Highest Honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Computer Science and received an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
Stephen Joy joined RTP in 2026 and is a member of the Portfolio Operations team, where he focuses on driving value creation initiatives across Resurgens’ portfolio companies.
Prior to RTP, Stephen was a Vice President on the Investment Team at BIP Ventures, where he helped lead investments in FinTech, enterprise software, and software infrastructure businesses. Earlier in his career, Stephen held product and engineering leadership roles at Applied Predictive Technologies, a growth-equity-backed company acquired by Mastercard, where he focused on launching and scaling new products and growth initiatives. Stephen also founded Tack, a digital tipping platform that supported service workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
